I would like to highlight Sintayehu “Mimi” Yemane. She went through an early UHCHI cohort and when I began my tenure was a Cook 3 in Garde Manger. She was talented, organized and hungry. She quickly moved into a Cook 2 role and assumed additional responsibility, honed her craft and took a more active leadership role in the department. She then moved to Cook 1 and finally is now the 2nd Asst Sous in Garde Manger and just finished an incredible 2024.
